Happy Birthday Dulci!

Our sweet Dulci turned 2 this month, my how time flies! I'm such a stingy mom when it comes to food, and I HATE cake and having the leftovers for a week after the birthday. So since Dulci couldn't object I decided to do an apple pie instead. Yum, everyone loved it. Right when Seth lit the candles she blew them out and it suprised her so much that she wouldn't even look at them when we tried to light them again for a picture.

My old friend

In my efforts to purge and declutter I finally convinced Seth to get rid of my old cast I wore my freshman year of high school. You'll notice he signed it huge in red right across the top. This was before he was ever interested in me and I was annoyed he had taken up so much valuable signing space. Who would have known that 15 years later we'd be living happily ever after. Can you find your name?

Fun with cousins and friends

We had lots of fun playing with our cousins this month.

The weather has been beautiful, perfect for an afternoon on the tramp!

And finally we got to return a favor to some friends by watching their kids while they went out of town. Lots of fun for everyone!

Can't stop us now!

I've always wanted to run while I was pregnant, but never made it past a month or two. So when I found out I was pregnant two months after I finished a marathon in April, I decided this would be the pregnancy I ran through. I envisioned me not gaining much of anything until after the race and sailing through pregnancy getting a healthy baby at the end of it all. Let's just say training has been hard. Instead of getting faster and smaller like I usually do when I'm training, I got slower and bigger. But, I did it. Today I ran 13.1 miles, 20 weeks pregnant in 2 hours and 33 minutes. I doubted whether it was worth it while I was training but now I can say without hesitation that it was worth it! The race was fun, I feel great and I'm grateful to have been blessed with a healthy and strong body. I'm grateful that my husband likes to tag along for the ride too.

Here we are before the race. We made it a family event.

The guy in the shadows there is Seth finishing the race. The reason you can't see me in the picture is because I wasn't within sight. Yes it's true, even though he ran only about 3 times to prepare for this race he still beat his pregnant wife.

Kinda hard to see the belly, but I promise it's there and I promise it's not from too much pizza (although that was very tasty after a long run!) I thought I'd quit running for the rest of my pregnancy after this race but now I'm wondering, what's next?
