Rock jumping

When the tide was in the rocks we snorkled around were great for jumping off.

Dulci

Dulci even got in on the snorkeling fun, yup, that's her on Seth's back!

She tried to enjoy some time with her beach ball but it kept getting blown to sea by the wind. Once I went chasing after it. People kept grabbing it and trying to throw it back to me but every time it got caught in the wind and went farther into the ocean until it was so far I couldn't reach it. All the while Dulci was crying (very loud) and everyone on shore was watching the little girl loose her ball. A while later, after I had calmed her down and some people on shore offered her their beach toys, a boat drove by with the ball they had picked up in the ocean! Everyone cheered and Dulci got her dollar store beach ball back. (We then deflated it and decided it was a pool ball.)

Gators!

When we went to Lousiana a couple years ago Seth really wanted to see an Alligator. We went on a swamp tour and saw nothing. In Florida he wanted to try his luck again, so we went on an air boat tour in the everglades. Not only was the boat ride lots of fun, but we saw lots of gators too!

The end of the earth...or the US at least!

We drove to the end,

and then we began again.

Sunrise, Sunset

We drove onto the keys just as the sun was setting. I thought I had died and gone to heaven it was so beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. When I thought there couldn't be anything as beautiful as this,
I woke up to this!

Old forts and big guns

On our way down to southern FL we stopped at an old fort that had lots of big guns. They were shooting off cannons were all dressed up. Kinda funny, we happened upon this state park on the weekend President Obama declaired it Free State part week. Lucky us!

Wow, now that's a big gun!

For the first couple nights we stayed near Daytona Beach, home of Nascar.

Camping

My kids think camping is great, which makes for a much less expensive vacation. This campsite had some killer mosquitos though!

Ksusha and JoyeLoni trying to get a little more beauty rest...

...maybe we should have let them!

Mmmm, breakfast of champions.

Car ride to Florida

For spring break this year Seth took us all to Florida. It was a long overnight drive but the Mountain Dew (which I never drink otherwise) kept me awake for my portion. The kids slept and colored and ate. It was well worth it!
